NEET UG Re-Exam Refund Deadline Today: NTA Set to Close Bank Details Window Tonight

Attention NEET UG 2026 candidates if you haven’t yet locked in your bank details for the exam fee refund, time is running out. The National Testing Agency shuts the door on its refund correction facility tonight, June 30, 2026, and once it’s gone, it’s gone for good.

    Don't Miss Entrance Updates 2026

This whole refund exercise traces back to the chaos around NEET UG 2026, where the original exam was called off over security concerns and a fresh sitting had to be organised on June 21. As part of cleaning up after that disruption, NTA promised to return the exam fee to every candidate who had registered, no questions asked, no fresh payment needed for the re-exam.

A Second Chance to Fix Bank Errors

Here’s the backstory: NTA had already taken bank account information from candidates once before. But things got messy a flood of complaints poured in about wrong account numbers, mismatched IFSC codes, and refunds stuck in limbo because of simple data-entry slips.

So the agency hit the reset button. From June 25 right through to today, candidates got a second window to go back in, check what they’d submitted, fix any mistakes, or enter their details for the first time if they’d missed it earlier. Even students who’d previously ticked “No Refund” were allowed to change their minds and opt back in.

To keep things secure this time around, NTA bolted on an OTP-based verification step tied to each candidate’s registered mobile number before any bank detail could be confirmed or edited.

How to Submit or Update Your Bank Details

Getting this done takes only a few minutes if your details are handy:

Head to neet.nta.nic.in and find the “Bank Account Details Confirmation/Updation” link. Log in with your application number and password, then complete the OTP step sent to your phone. You’ll see whatever bank details are already on file — confirm them if they’re correct, fix them if they’re wrong, or choose “No Refund” if you don’t want the money back. There’s also an option to upload a cancelled cheque or your passbook’s first page for extra verification. Hit submit, and don’t forget to save the confirmation page as proof.

Don’t Wait Till the Last Minute

NTA has made it clear: this correction facility will not reopen. Any wrong account number or unconfirmed detail left pending after tonight could mean your refund gets stuck or never arrives at all. Given how portals tend to slow down right before deadlines, it’s worth logging in now rather than racing the clock at 11 PM.

    Looking Ahead

While the refund chapter wraps up, all eyes are now on the NEET UG 2026 final result. The provisional answer key is already out, and the objection window has closed meaning results, and the counselling process that follows for MBBS, BDS, and allied medical seats, shouldn’t be far behind.
