Chennai: In a tragic incident, another NEET aspirant committed suicide. Dharshini, who was preparing for the NEET exam since 2021, allegedly committed suicide due to exam fear in Kilambakkam. The exam was scheduled to be held on May 4. Kilambakkam police are investigating the case.
On March 1, a 19-year-old NEET aspirant from Tindivanam in Tamil Nadu committed suicide, fearing poor performance in the exam. Sindhu, from Thadapuram village near Tindivanam, was alone at home when she committed suicide. She had completed Class 12 from the government higher secondary school in her village with good marks. After that, she joined a private coaching institute in Puducherry and appeared for the NEET exam last year, scoring 350 marks, but failed to clear the exam.

Determined to succeed this year, he prepared for the exam again and recently received his OBC certificate, which he submitted along with his application.
Sindhu committed suicide while her parents and brother were working in the fields. When they returned in the evening, they found her hanging from the ceiling fan.
The family immediately informed the Vellimedu Pettai police station, and officials arrived at the scene around 11 pm.
The police took the body into custody and sent it to the Villupuram Government Medical College Hospital for post-mortem. They are now investigating the case.
