NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to close the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2025 registration today. Candidates must complete the payment of the application fee by March 25. The CUET UG 2025 application form correction window will be available from March 26 to 28. The exam is scheduled to take place from May 8 to June 1, covering 37 subjects.
As per the eligibility criteria, candidates must have completed Class 12 from a recognized board, securing at least 50% marks for general category applicants and 45% for those in reserved categories. Notably, there is no age limit for CUET UG applicants.
The marking scheme awards five marks for every correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.
Key Changes in CUET UG 2025
This year, the CUET UG exam will be conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) format in 12 languages. The NTA has reduced the number of exam cities to 285 from 354. Additionally, candidates can select a maximum of five papers, irrespective of the subjects studied in Class 12.
The total number of subjects has been reduced to 37 from 61. These include 13 languages, 23 domain-specific subjects, and one general aptitude test. In contrast, the previous year offered 61 subjects, including 33 languages, 27 domain-specific subjects, and a general test.
