The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEB) has released the detailed counselling schedule for admission to undergraduate Engineering, Technology, and Architecture courses in government, government-aided, and self-financed private institutions across West Bengal for the 2026 academic session.
According to the official notice, the counselling process will run across three rounds, starting with candidate registration and choice filling from June 30, 2026, and concluding by the end of July with the third round of seat allotment.
WBJEE 2026 Counselling: Registration and Choice Filling
Candidates aiming for a seat through WBJEE counselling can begin the process by registering on the official portal, paying the registration fee, and filling in their institute and course preferences. This first window is open from June 30 to July 5, 2026.
Importantly, the board has also allowed candidates to modify and lock their choices within the same period, giving aspirants flexibility to reorder or update preferences before the deadline closes.
First Round of Seat Allotment on July 7
The result of the first round of seat allotment will be declared on July 7, 2026. Candidates who receive an allotment in this round, and either do not opt for upgradation or are allotted their first choice, must complete two steps between July 7 and July 11, 2026:
- Pay the seat acceptance fee
- Report to the allotted institute for document verification and admission
The board has advised candidates to check directly with their allotted institute regarding specific reporting timings and document requirements, as these may vary from one institution to another.

Key Points Candidates Should Note
- The entire counselling process spans three rounds between June 30 and July 30, 2026.
- Candidates must actively lock their choices during the registration window to be considered for allotment.
- Reporting requirements and timings differ by institute, so candidates should verify details directly with their allotted college.
- A withdrawal option is available specifically during the second round, for those who no longer wish to continue in the process.
- WBJEB has clarified that the published schedule may be revised if unavoidable circumstances arise, so candidates are advised to keep checking the official website for updates.
Aspirants participating in WBJEE 2026 counselling are encouraged to complete each step within the stipulated deadlines, as missing a round’s window could affect their admission chances in subsequent rounds.
