The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a re-examination for UGC NET June 2026 candidates who appeared for Shift-1 at the CT Group of Institutions centre in Jalandhar. The decision comes after technical glitches disrupted the exam at this centre.
What Happened
According to a public notice issued by NTA on June 22, 2026, TCS the agency responsible for conducting UGC NET June 2026 reported technical disruptions at the Jalandhar examination centre during the Shift-1 session held on June 22, 2026.
Several candidates who reached the centre on time were unable to start or finish their exam because of these glitches, through no fault of their own.
NTA’s Response
Acknowledging the inconvenience, NTA expressed regret over the disruption faced by affected candidates. To ensure no student loses out due to a technical error beyond their control, the agency has scheduled a fresh exam for the impacted Shift-1 candidates.

Who Should Take Note
This re-exam applies only to candidates who were physically present at the CT Group of Institutions centre in Jalandhar for the Shift-1 UGC NET June 2026 exam but could not attempt or complete it due to the technical snag. Candidates from other centres or shifts are not affected by this notice.
