The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) is likely to declare the results of the High School Certificate (HSC) Class 10 examination in the second week of May. BSE Chairman Shrikant Tarai said on Tuesday that the evaluation process is almost complete.
BSE chairman Srikant Tarai said teachers started checking Class 10 exam answer sheets on March 19. Though work was halted for three days, the board is working hard to declare results by mid-May. He said the board focuses on students’ education, especially those who want college admission. Tarai also said there was no problem checking science papers as everything was done following the rules of the examination committee.
Science Paper Had Printing Errors
Some questions in the science paper had printing errors. Tarai said the board used watermark and QR code technology in this year’s exam. He said the move significantly improved the security of the exam and helped prevent question paper leaks.
Around 5.5 lakh students appeared for the Class 10 board exams held last month. Soon after the exams were over, teachers started checking the answer sheets. The evaluation is currently taking place at multiple centres across the state under strict monitoring to ensure accuracy and transparency.
