To ensure a hassle-free and fair exam process, the NTA has released a detailed list of exam day instructions. Every NEET candidate must strictly follow these guidelines to avoid any inconvenience at the exam centre.

Items to Carry for NEET UG 2025
Candidates must bring only the items listed below to ensure smooth entry and participation in the examination:
- NEET UG 2025 Admit Card with a passport-size photograph already pasted
- One additional passport-size photograph for the attendance sheet
- One postcard-size photograph for the proforma attached to the admit card
- Valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar card, voter ID, passport, etc.)
- Transparent water bottle without any label or branding
- Slippers or sandals (shoes are not allowed)
- A small 50 ml bottle of hand sanitizer
Carrying these essential items is mandatory to enter the exam hall and complete verification.
Items prohibited at the exam centre
To ensure exam integrity and prevent malpractice, NTA prohibits the following items at the examination center:
Study Materials:
- Textbooks, notes, printed or written papers
Electronic Devices:
- Mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, cameras, calculators, or any communication tools
Stationery and Tools:
- Pen drives, writing pads, geometry boxes, log tables
Personal Belongings:
- Wallets, handbags, goggles, belts, caps, jewelry, or any metallic items
Food and Drink:
- Open or packed food items and water bottles with labels
Candidates must not carry any of these items as no storage facility will be available at the exam venue.
NEET UG 2025 Dress Code
NTA has established a clear dress code policy to maintain uniformity and prevent the use of unfair means:
For All Candidates:
- Wear light-colored clothes with half sleeves only
- Avoid outfits with large buttons, badges, or big pockets
Footwear:
- Only slippers or sandals are permitted; shoes are strictly prohibited
Religious or Customary Attire:
- Candidates wearing such attire must inform NTA during the application process and report to the exam center at least one hour early
Adhering to the prescribed dress code is mandatory for all candidates.
Important Instructions for Exam Day
To ensure a stress-free and orderly examination experience, candidates must follow these instructions:
- Arrive at the exam center well before the last entry time (1:30 PM)
- Undergo fingerprint biometric verification for identity confirmation
- Use only the black or blue ballpoint pen provided at the exam center to mark answers on the OMR sheet
- Do not communicate with other candidates during the exam; raise your hand to speak with the invigilator if needed
Non-compliance with these rules may lead to disqualification.

- Admit cards will not be sent by post and will not be reissued at the exam center
- Check all details on the admit card for accuracy and legibility
