The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), Ranchi, has opened the application process for the Chief Minister Merit Scholarship Scheme (CMMSS) 2025. Students who qualified in the 2022, 2023, and 2024 scholarship examinations must submit their applications through the official JAC website, jac.jharkhand.gov.in.
Registration Portal Opens March 11
The registration portal for the Chief Minister Merit Scholarship 2025 will be accessible from March 11, 2025. Eligible students must submit their application forms to their school authorities by April 11, 2025. Schools must verify and forward these applications to the District Education Officer (DEO) by April 15, 2025. Subsequently, the DEO will compile and submit the final list to JAC by April 21, 2025.
Application Requirements
Applicants must provide the following details in their application form:
- Personal Information: Name, roll number, and other essential details.
- Examination Details: Exam date, roll number, and examination centre.
- School Information: School name, address, UDISE code, and bank account details (bank name, branch, account number, and IFSC code).
- Accommodation and Meals: Students must indicate whether they receive government-sponsored accommodation and meals.
Eligibility and Required Documents
Students must submit their applications based on their scholarship renewal cycle:
- First-time Applicants (Class 9): Those who passed the scholarship exam on June 30, 2024, must provide an admit card, Aadhaar card, and bank passbook.
- Second Renewal (Class 10): Students who qualified on August 13, 2023, must submit the above documents along with their Class 9 mark sheet.
- Third Renewal (Class 11): Students who passed the exam on July 13, 2022, must include their Class 10 mark sheet along with the required documents.
- Caste Certificate: Students applying under caste-based categories must submit a valid caste certificate issued by the Jharkhand government.
Scholarship Renewal and Payment
To maintain eligibility for the scholarship, students must achieve at least 60% marks in their final examinations. Those studying in government residential schools, where accommodation and meals are provided, will receive 50% of the scholarship amount.
JAC will transfer the scholarship amount directly to the registered bank accounts. The council will not entertain requests to modify bank details. The official notification states, “The scholarship amount will be credited to the previously registered bank account, and no changes will be accepted.”
Aakanksha Scheme Report Submission
JAC will also compile and submit a separate consolidated report for students selected under the Aakanksha scheme as part of the scholarship process.
Students must ensure the timely submission of their applications and supporting documents to secure their eligibility for the CM Merit Scholarship 2025.
