Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini on Sunday announced that all SC and OBC students from the state who take admission in medical or engineering courses at any government college in India will receive a full scholarship.
He also said that the government will launch a dedicated portal to manage the scholarship applications. The Chief Minister made this announcement during an event organized by All India Saini Seva Samaj in Gurugram on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule.

Haryana Chief Minister Saini greeted people on Vaisakhi on the birthday of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and paid tribute to the martyrs of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. He stressed Phule’s important contribution in awakening Indian society during colonial rule and acknowledged his role as a social reformer, thinker, writer and philosopher.
Haryana Chief Minister Saini praised Mahatma Jyotiba Phule’s important work in abolishing child marriage, promoting widow remarriage and fighting untouchability. Saini highlighted that Phule believed education was the key to social transformation. He also linked Phule’s vision to Prime Minister Modi’s slogan “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas”. He encouraged people to follow Phule’s example and educate their children to build a better society.
Haryana’s Farmer-Friendly Policies and Welfare Initiatives
- Saini stressed Haryana’s commitment to purchase 100% of the farmers’ produce at the Minimum Support Price (MSP).
- He shared that 17 lakh poor families are receiving gas cylinders for Rs 500 per month under the ‘Har-Ghar Grihini Yojana’.
