JEE Mains 2025 Dress Code: What to Wear for Male & Female Candidates

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will begin the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 Session 2 for Paper 1 (BE/BTech) today, April 2. Candidates are strictly prohibited from bringing electronic devices with calculator functions, metallic items, or any other electronic gadgets inside the exam hall.

    Candidates must carefully review their JEE Main 2025 Session 2 admit card for important details such as exam timings, reporting time, and gate closing time. Those scheduled for the second shift are advised to visit the exam center in advance to familiarize themselves with the location and transport options.

    The NTA has imposed strict restrictions on carrying certain items inside the examination hall, including instruments, geometry or pencil boxes, handbags, purses, papers, stationery, printed or written materials, eatables, water (loose or packed), mobile phones, earphones, microphones, pagers, calculators, docupens, slide rules, log tables, and all types of watches, including electronic watches with calculator functions. Additionally, candidates should note that no facilities will be available at the exam center for storing valuables.

    JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Dress Code

    Although NTA has not issued a specific dress code for JEE Main 2025 Session 2, both male and female candidates are advised to wear simple, basic clothing and avoid caps, scarves, accessories, electronic devices, or metallic items. Students should also avoid jeans, clothing with multiple pockets, or garments with metallic embellishments, as these are not allowed inside the examination hall.

    Candidates must ensure they are in good health before appearing for the exam. Diabetic candidates are permitted to carry sugar tablets, fruits, and transparent water bottles inside the exam hall.

    Carrying a JEE Main 2025 Session 2 admit card along with valid identification is mandatory for entry. The admit card contains crucial information, including the exam date, timings, venue, and other important instructions.

    The JEE Main 2025 Session 2 exam will be conducted in two shifts:

    • Morning Shift: 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
    • Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
