The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to release the CUET UG 2026 provisional answer key anytime soon on the official website cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates who appeared in the exam conducted from May 11 to May 31, 2026, can download the answer key and their recorded responses after logging in with their application number and password.

About the Re-Test
NTA has confirmed that 3,765 candidates affected by a technical glitch during the final exam phase will be given a separate re-test, scheduled for June 6–7, 2026. Admit cards for the re-test have already been issued.
How to Download CUET UG 2026 Provisional Answer Key
- Visit the official website: cuet.nta.nic.in
- Click on the “CUET (UG) 2026 Answer Key” link on the homepage
- Log in using your Application Number and Password/Date of Birth
- Your recorded responses and the answer key will appear side by side
- Select your paper and download the answer key PDF
Candidates are advised to download the PDF as soon as possible the link stays active for only a few days.
How to Challenge the Answer Key
Candidates who find any discrepancy in the provisional answer key can raise an objection during the challenge window:
- Click on the “Answer Key Challenge” link on cuet.nta.nic.in
- Select the question you wish to challenge and click the corresponding Option ID
- Upload supporting documents (NCERT or credible academic sources) in a single PDF
- Pay ₹200 per question challenged (non-refundable processing fee)
- Click “Save Your Claim” to submit
NTA will forward all valid challenges to subject experts. The final answer key released after expert review will be used for score calculation.

What’s Next
Once the challenge window closes, NTA will release the final answer key followed by CUET UG 2026 results in the first week of July 2026. Scores will then be sent to participating universities for admissions. Over 15.68 lakh candidates registered for CUET UG 2026, making it the most registered undergraduate entrance exam in India.
