CBSE gives one more day to private candidates and schools for Class 12 Supplementary Examination 2026 formalities.
If you’re a private candidate or a school still finishing up paperwork for the CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Examination 2026, here’s some breathing room. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the deadline for two related processes by a day, moving the last date from July 8 to July 9, 2026.
What’s Been Extended
Through two separate circulars dated July 7, 2026, CBSE announced extensions for:
- Private candidates submitting their examination forms for the Class 12 Supplementary Examination 2026.
- Schools submitting the List of Candidates (LOC) for regular students appearing in the same supplementary exam.
Both processes were originally notified through CBSE’s circular dated June 30, 2026, with the deadline set for July 8, 2026. That date has now been pushed to July 9, 2026.
Key Dates at a Glance
| Process | Previous Last Date | Extended Last Date |
| Examination form submission (private candidates) | 8 July 2026 | 9 July 2026 |
| List of Candidates (LOC) submission by schools (regular students) | 8 July 2026 | 9 July 2026 |
Who Needs to Act
Private candidates who haven’t yet submitted their examination form for the Class 12 Supplementary Examination 2026 should complete this within the new timeline. Schools that are yet to fill in the LOC for their regular students appearing in the supplementary exam should also ensure this is done by the extended date.
CBSE has clarified that all other conditions mentioned in the earlier circulars remain unchanged – only the deadline has moved.
Don’t Miss This One-Day Window
With just a day’s extension, there’s very little room for delay. Candidates and schools are advised to complete their respective submissions well before 9 July 2026 to avoid last-minute hassles.
Both circulars were issued by Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, CBSE, and have been forwarded to all Regional Offices for compliance.
