UPTAC 2026 Registration: Last Date to Apply is 20 July

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) has announced that candidates seeking admission through UPTAC counselling for the 2026-2027 academic cycle must complete their registration by 20 July 2026. The university has urged all eligible aspirants who are yet to apply to complete the process at the earliest, as no further extension is expected beyond this date.

New Registration: What Candidates Need to Do

Candidates applying for the first time can begin the registration process directly on the official UPTAC portal, uptac.samarth.edu.in. The process requires applicants to create an account, enter personal and academic details, upload the necessary supporting documents, and pay the applicable counselling registration fee. Once submitted, the application moves ahead for document verification, which is a mandatory step before candidates can proceed to choice filling.

Applicants have also been advised to download the official prospectus available on the portal, which outlines the complete list of participating programmes, eligibility norms, and counselling procedure for the current admission cycle.

How to Register for UPTAC 2026-27

Candidates can follow these steps to complete their UPTAC registration before the deadline:

1. Visit the official UPTAC portal, uptac.samarth.edu.in
2. Click on “New Candidate Registration”
3. Enter basic details such as name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID
4. Verify the OTP sent to the registered mobile number and email
5. Create a password and log in to the portal
6. Fill in personal, academic, and category details as applicable
7. Upload the required documents, including photograph, signature, and certificates
8. Pay the registration fee online through the available payment options
9. Submit the form and save the confirmation for future reference

Existing Users Can Track Status via Login

Candidates who have already completed their registration for UPTAC 2026-27 do not need to apply again. They can simply log in using their existing credentials to check their application and verification status, and to stay updated on further steps such as choice filling and seat allotment, once those schedules are announced.

Why the Deadline Matters

Since UPTAC registration is a one-time process and does not reopen once the window closes, candidates are being strongly advised not to wait until the last moment.
