NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has announced the commencement of the PM Internship Scheme again for 2025. It offers financial support to selected candidates in addition to internships at top 500 companies in India. Interested and eligible applicants can apply on the official website, pminternship.mca.gov.in, until March 12, 2025.
The government launched this initiative on October 3, 2024, with a ₹800 crore budget to enhance employability through real-world industry exposure. Selected candidates will gain hands-on experience by working with India’s top 500 companies in sectors like technology, finance, hospitality, and automotive. The 12-month internship offers a ₹6,000 monthly stipend to support participants during their training.

- Find the registration link on the homepage and register by entering the required details.
- Log in to your account using the credentials generated during registration.
- Fill out the registration form carefully as per the portal’s guidelines.
- Submit the form and save a copy of the confirmation page for future reference.
PMIS 2025: Eligibility Criteria

- Candidates must be between 21 and 24 years old (as of the last date for application submission).
- Must be Indian nationals.
- Should not be employed full-time or engaged in full-time education.
- Candidates enrolled in online or distance learning programs are eligible to apply.
- Must have completed at least High School or Higher Secondary School.
- Candidates with a certificate from an ITI or a diploma from a Polytechnic Institute can apply.
- Graduates with degrees such as BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BBA, B.Pharma, etc., are also eligible.
- The income of any of the family members of the candidate should be less than Rs 8 lakh for FY 2023-24.
The government introduced the Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme in Top Companies in the 2024-25 Budget to provide internship opportunities to one crore youth over the next five years. This scheme will place interns in India’s top 500 companies, allowing them to gain 12 months of hands-on experience in real-world business environments across various industries and professions. At least half of the internship period must be spent in the actual working experience/ job environment and not in the classroom.
