New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the exam dates for JEE Mains 2025 Session 2. As per the plan, the exams are scheduled to be held on April 2, 3, 4, 7, 8 and 9. But the problem is that there is a clash in the schedule of JEE Mains and CBSE Class 12 Psychology paper, both of which are being held on April 4, 2025.
Exam Schedule Overview
Exam Name | Dates |
JEE Mains 2025 Session 2 | April 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, and 9 |
CBSE Class 12 Board Exams | February 15 to April 4, 2025 |
CBSE Psychology Paper | April 4, 2025 (10:30 AM to 1:30 PM) |
JEE Mains on April 4, 2025 | Shift 1: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM Shift 2: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM |
The overlapping schedule has put students under immense pressure, particularly those appearing for both exams. The JEE Mains is a crucial exam for engineering aspirants aiming for admission into prestigious institutions like the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and National Institutes of Technology (NITs). Simultaneously, the CBSE board exams are essential for undergraduate course eligibility.
Students and Parents Express Concerns
The clash has caused widespread anxiety among students and parents. Many students have raised their concerns on social media, requesting the authorities to address the issue. Online petitions urging NTA and CBSE to reschedule one of the exams are also gaining traction.
A student from Allahabad voiced his frustration: “I have been preparing for JEE Mains for two years, and the CBSE board exams are equally critical. This overlap is causing a lot of stress, and I hope the authorities will find a solution soon.”
Parents have echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the mental toll on students. “The pressure of managing two important exams is already overwhelming. This conflict adds unnecessary stress. We appeal to the authorities to resolve this matter urgently,” said a concerned parent.
Proposed Solutions
To resolve the conflict, stakeholders have suggested the following measures:
- Rescheduling the JEE Mains exam on April 4, 2025 to avoid the overlap with the CBSE Psychology paper.
- Providing an alternative date for the CBSE Psychology exam for students appearing in JEE Mains.
Conclusion
As students and parents await a resolution, the NTA and CBSE are under growing pressure to address the situation promptly. Ensuring a fair and stress-free environment for students must remain a priority.
