The National Testing Agency (NTA) issued a public notice on July 23, 2026, announcing the examination schedule for the NITTT (National Initiative for Technical Teachers Training) Examination for April-May 2026 semester candidates. The NITTT programme provides in-service training to Inductee Teachers in AICTE-approved institutions to enhance their professional teaching skills.
According to the notice, candidates must complete continuous assignments along with a final Internet-Based Remote Proctored exam. Successful completion of all phases within three years is mandatory for probation confirmation and promotion eligibility.
NITTT Exam Date 2026: Key Highlights
The exam will be conducted over four days in two shifts. It will be an objective-type test comprising 100 multiple-choice questions, to be completed in a duration of 120 minutes. The exam will be held online in Internet-Based Remote Proctored mode, and the medium of the exam will be English only.

NITTT Exam 2026: Rules for the Online Proctored Exam
Candidates appearing for the exam must keep the following points in mind:
- The exam will be remotely proctored, and candidates will be under invigilation by human proctors who will monitor their movements, including those on the screen.
- If a proctor observes suspicious eye movements or any suspicious activity, the candidate may be asked through chat to show their surroundings via laptop or webcam. Candidates must keep checking the chat window for any such communication.
- Repeated non-compliance with proctor instructions after warnings can lead to termination of the exam for that candidate.
- Candidates are not allowed to keep any sheets or papers for rough work during the exam.
- Candidates are permitted to keep only the admit card, a valid ID proof, and drinking water in a transparent bottle with them during the exam.
