New Delhi: The North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) has started registering for postgraduate and PhD programs for the 2025-2026 academic session. Interested candidates can apply online at nerist.ac.in before the deadline on June 6, 2025.
The institute will release admit cards for the NEPGET 2025 exam on June 6. The exam will take place on June 14 for PG programs and June 27 for PhD candidates. The registration fee is ₹1,500 for all applicants.
Eligibility Criteria for NERIST PG 2025
MSc (Full-Time)
- Candidates must have a BSc degree in a relevant subject with at least 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale.
- Eligible subjects include Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Forestry.
MBA
- Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 55% aggregate marks.
- Candidates with CAT, MAT, CAMT, or XAT scores are exempt from the written test.
MTech (Full-Time)
- Candidates must have a BE/BTech degree with at least 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5.
- GATE or NET-qualified candidates do not need to take the written test.

Interview and Group Discussion Schedule
- MBA applicants must attend a group discussion and personal interview on June 1.
- PhD candidates will have their interviews on June 28 at their respective departments.
Result Declaration
- NERIST will announce PG program results by June 24.
- PhD results will be available on June 30.
Counselling and Admission Schedule
- July 9: Counselling and course registration for MBA and MSc (selected and waitlisted candidates).
- July 10: MTech admissions.
- July 11: PhD admissions.
- July 12: Second round of counselling for MBA, MSc, and MTech (if seats remain vacant).
- July 15: Spot round for any unfilled seats.
