NEET UG 2026: Prayagraj Exam Venue Shifted

If you’re a NEET UG 2026 aspirant assigned to an exam centre in Prayagraj, this is important news for you. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the examination venue for candidates who were allotted the Harivansh Rai Bachchan Cultural Centre, University of Allahabad – just days before the exam scheduled on 21 June 2026. Updated Admit Cards reflecting the new centre are now live on the official NTA portal.

    What Triggered the Centre Change?

The venue shift was not arbitrary. In its official notice dated 18 June 2026, NTA stated that the District Administration of Prayagraj flagged two major problems at the original centre:

    • Active construction work at or near the premises
    • Unavailability of electricity at the venue

Either of these issues alone would have been sufficient to compromise the fair and uninterrupted conduct of a high-stakes national exam. Following inputs from the District Level Committee, NTA acted swiftly and relocated the centre to an alternate venue within the same university campus.
