    Eligibility Criteria for Participation

Candidates meeting the following conditions can participate in the Karnataka NEET PG counselling 2024 second stray vacancy round:

    • Those who are not holding a seat allotted in the first or second round of KEA, MCC, or other state counselling.
    • Candidates who were not allotted a seat in Round 3 or the stray vacancy round through KEA or MCC (including those who cancelled or did not hold pre-/para-clinical seats).
    • Applicants who did not receive a seat in the MCC special stray vacancy round.
    • Newly registered candidates who have completed verification and deposited their original documents with KEA.

    Caution Deposit and Participation Rules

Candidates must pay a caution deposit of ₹5 lakh to participate in the counselling process. If allotted a PG medical seat, KEA will adjust the deposit toward the tuition fee. However, KEA will forfeit the amount if a candidate fails to pay the fee, report to the allotted college, take admission, or cancel the seat. Such candidates must also pay a penalty as per the prescribed rules and will be barred from participating in counselling, including the All India Quota (AIQ), in the following year.

KEA has mandated the deposition of original documents to qualify for the second stray vacancy round. Candidates who have verified their documents but have not deposited them must do so in person on March 14, 2025, between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Representatives will not be permitted to submit documents on behalf of candidates.

    Option Entry and Seat Allotment

KEA has instructed all eligible candidates to enter their preferred options afresh in order of priority, as previously filled choices will not be considered. Candidates must verify and confirm the fee structure before submitting their choices. KEA has also reminded candidates to enter options they genuinely intend to join, considering the penalty for withdrawal or non-joining.
