Jammu and Kashmir: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has extended the registration deadline for the Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET) 2025. Eligible candidates can now submit their applications until March 24 through the official website, jkbopee.gov.in. The JKCET 2025 exam is scheduled to take place on April 12.
Previously, the registration deadline was set for March 19, while the registration process commenced on March 5. JKBOPEE conducts JKCET annually to facilitate admissions to Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and BTech courses in various universities across the Union Territory (UT).
JKCET 2025 Exam Pattern
JKBOPEE will conduct the JKCET 2025 in offline mode for a duration of 3 hours. The exam will be conducted exclusively in English and will consist of 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) divided into three sections: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates will receive 1 mark for each correct response, while 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
JKCET 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply:
- Age Requirement: Candidates must be at least 17 years old.
- Domicile: Applicants should have a domicile certificate of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Candidates with a Scheduled Tribe (ST) certificate issued by a competent authority in the UT of Ladakh are also eligible.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed Class 12 from a recognized board. Students currently appearing for the Class 12 exam are also eligible to apply. Only candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are allowed to appear for JKCET 2025.
- Upper Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for applying to JKCET 2025.
Steps to Apply for JKCET 2025
Candidates can apply for JKCET 2025 by following the steps below:
- Visit the official website at jkbopee.gov.in.
- Click on the “CET application” link on the homepage.
- Enter the required details in the new window.
- Pay the application fee using credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI.
- Click on the submit button.
- Download and save the application receipt for future reference.
