New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has also extended the deadline for applicants to rectify errors in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 application form till March 15. Candidates who wish to make changes in their details or correct errors in their already submitted information should log in to the GOAPS portal through the official website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in.
The institute has clearly indicated that category changes would not be allowed at this point. Candidates who do not correct their mistakes within the stipulated period will have their GATE 2025 results withheld.
IIT Roorkee has flagged candidates whose personal information is not in agreement with the GATE 2025 records as “provisional” or “defect candidates.” The candidates have been sent a notice that reads: “Your details are incorrect as per GATE 2025 records. Please update or modify them in the GOAPS portal by March 15, 2025. Failure to do so will result in your GATE 2025 result being withheld.”
The provisional candidate’s defect rectification process will stay open until 15th March 2025. The institute has requested concerned candidates to log in to the GOAPS portal and rectify their details at the earliest to preclude result-related issues. It has again assured that no modifications to categories shall be permitted now.
After the closing of the application correction window, IIT Roorkee will then go ahead with making the GATE 2025 results on the final answer key. GATE 2025 results are to be released on March 19. Candidates could submit objections against the provisional answer key up until March 1.
