New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras will offer 31 MTech courses through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 scores. Admission to IIT Madras for MTech will be based on the GATE cutoff, eligibility, availability of seats and other factors.
IIT Madras is ranked as the number one engineering college in India, according to the NIRF ranking provided by the Ministry of Education. Students aspiring to secure admission to this institute can check the selection process and previous years’ cutoffs to assess their chances.
IIT Madras offers financial assistance to Indian nationals pursuing MTech in the form of a Half-Time Teaching Assistantship (HTTA) of ₹12,400 per month for a maximum period of two years. Selected students are required to assist the department for eight hours per week.
A few other government organizations, such as the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board and the Aeronautical Research and Development Board, provide assistantships to MTech students. Some seats are also available without financial assistance. However, the eligibility criteria remain the same for both.
