IISER IAT 2025: Registration Opens on March 10 – Key Dates and Eligibility Details

IISER TIRUPATI: The exam authorities have officially released the IAT 2025 notification, announcing that the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2025 registration process will begin on March 10, 2025. The entrance test will be conducted on 25 May.

The IISER entrance exam is conducted for students who want to be admitted to the BS-MS dual degree programme for science students and a four-year BS degree programme for engineering sciences and economic sciences (offered only at IISER Bhopal).

IISER IAT 2025: Important Dates

Eligibility Criteria (IAT 2025)

• Nationality: Indian Nationals, OCI/PIO, and Foreign Nationals can apply.
• Education: Must have passed Class XII (or equivalent) in 2023, 2024, or 2025 with a science stream from a Council of Boards of School Education(COBSE)-recognized board.
• Foreign Nationals: If the exam board is not COBSE-recognized, an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities is required.
• Subjects: Must have studied at least three of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.
• Mathematics Requirement: Mandatory for admission to specific programs at IISER Kolkata, IISER Bhopal, and IISER Tirupati.
• Minimum Marks:
  • SC/ST/PwD: 55% aggregate
  • Other categories: 60% aggregate
• Marks Calculation: Based on all subjects taken in Class XII (or equivalent)

Application Fee

The application portal will open on March 10, 2025. Here are the application fees for different categories of students.

• Rs. 2,000/- for candidates applying under General, EWS, OBC, and OBC-NCL categories.
• Rs. 1,000/- for candidates applying under persons with disabilities (PwD), persons registered as Kashmiri Migrants/Kashmiri Pandits/Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrant) and SC/ST category.
• Rs. 12,000/- for candidates applying under the Foreign National category.
• The application fee is non-refundable.
