BANGALORE: The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore has officially announced the schedule for the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) 2025, the platform used for MTech admissions and PSU recruitment through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025. Registration for COAP 2025 will commence soon on gate.iisc.ac.in/coap2025. Meanwhile, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee declared the GATE 2025 results on March 19.
GATE 2025 Eligibility & Admissions Process
To be eligible for admission through COAP, candidates must possess a valid GATE score from 2025 or the last two sessions. MTech aspirants must apply separately to their preferred institutes, while those seeking PSU recruitment should submit individual applications to participating Public Sector Undertakings.
The participating institutes in COAP 2025 include IISc Bangalore and all IITs, such as IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Guwahati, IIT Roorkee, and many others.
GATE COAP 2025 Schedule & Decision-Making Process
The COAP 2025 counseling process will take place across ten rounds, beginning on May 13 and concluding on July 11. The key dates and decision options for candidates are as follows:

Important COAP Guidelines
- Candidates cannot select “Retain and Wait” more than twice for the same offer.
- If no action is taken within a round, all available offers will be considered rejected.
- Round 5 is a decisive round, where candidates can only choose between “Accept and Freeze” or “Reject.”
- Rounds 6 to 10 are independent decision rounds, allowing only “Accept and Freeze” or “Reject” options.
With COAP 2025 providing multiple rounds for decision-making, candidates are advised to evaluate their offers and respond within the given timeframes.
