GATE 2025 resumes tomorrow; revised exam centres, marking scheme

IIT Roorkee will resume the GATE 2025 exam from tomorrow. Due to Mahakumbh, the exam centres for February 15 and 16 have been shifted from Prayagraj to Lucknow, as per the latest updates.

    IIT Roorkee has released new admit cards for the GATE 2025 exams on February 15 and 16. Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in, using their enrollment ID and password. The GATE 2025 admit card includes the candidate’s photograph, enrollment ID, signature, paper code, exam date, timings, and exam day guidelines. The exam will take place in two sessions: the forenoon session from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and the afternoon session from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM

    On February 15, the forenoon session will include exams for CY, AE, DA, ES, and PI, while the afternoon session will cover EC, GE, XH, BM, and EY. On February 16, the forenoon session will include CE1, GG, CH, PH, and BT, while the afternoon session will cover CE2, ST, XE, XL, and MN. Previously, IIT Roorkee also changed the GATE 2025 exam centres for the February 1 and 2 exams due to Mahakumbh. The institute will announce the GATE 2025 results on March 19.

    GATE 2025 Marking Scheme

    • Each question carries either one or two marks.
    • Negative marking applies to MCQs:
      • One-mark MCQ → 1/3 mark deducted for an incorrect answer.
      • Two-mark MCQ → 2/3 mark deducted for an incorrect answer.
    • No negative marking for incorrect answers in MSQs and NAT questions.
    • No partial marking for any question.
