COMEDK UGET 2026 Mock Choice Filling Ends Today

The mock round choice filling window for COMEDK UGET 2026 counselling closes today at 4:00 PM, giving registered candidates their final hours to lock in preferred colleges and branches before the mock seat allotment is processed.

The mock choice-filling window opened on July 11 and closes today, July 13, at 4 PM, on the official portal, comedk.org.

What the Mock Round Is For

The mock round gives candidates a non-binding preview of the colleges and branches they are likely to secure based on their rank and submitted preferences. It is not the final, binding seat offer – after mock allotment results are declared, candidates get an opportunity to revise, reorder or edit their choices before the real Round 1 allotment takes place.

How to Fill Choices

1. Visit comedk.org and log in with your application number/User ID and password.
2. Go to the ‘Option Entry’ section.
3. Search colleges/branches using filters like institute name, course, or location.
4. Add preferred colleges and branches to your option list.
5. Arrange all selected options in order of preference.
6. Save the choices.
7. Review and lock the choices before the 4 PM deadline.

Candidates can fill up to a large number of college-branch combinations in order of preference – the more realistic options filled, the better the chances of a favourable allotment.

Revised Seat Matrix Released

Alongside the counselling schedule, COMEDK has released a revised provisional seat matrix for 2026 admissions:

• Total engineering seats: 24,644 (up from 24,626 in the earlier provisional list)
• General Merit (GM) category seats have also been increased
• Seats are spread across roughly 150 participating institutes in Karnataka, offering over 20,000 undergraduate engineering seats overall

Seat allotment will be based on candidates’ COMEDK UGET 2026 rank, category, and the choices submitted during counselling.

Counselling Timeline So Far

• UGET Exam: May 9, 2026
• Result declared: May 29, 2026
• Counselling registration & document verification: concluded June 30, 2026
• Mock choice filling: July 11 – July 13, 2026 (today)
• Round 1 seat allotment: to be announced

There are four rounds of COMEDK UGET 2026 counselling in total, followed by a special round for candidates who clear supplementary board exams, to fill any leftover seats.

Important Reminder

If a candidate takes no action on an allotted seat in later rounds, it will be treated as “Reject & Withdraw,” making them ineligible for further rounds. Candidates are advised to lock choices carefully today, as this sets the base for the mock allotment preview.
