New Delhi: Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Thursday presented the “Special Citation – Atal Tinkering Labs” award to Amity International School, Vasundhara at the National Intellectual Property Awards ceremony at Bharat Mandapam.
The award recognised the school’s remarkable work in promoting innovation and research among students. Chairperson Amita Chauhan and Chancellor of Amity University Atul Chauhan received the honour on behalf of the institution.
Grateful for the honour, Amita Chauhan said, “This award is a testimony to Amity’s unwavering dedication to nation-building through research and innovation, which is our enduring focus.” Suneela Athley, Principal, Amity International School, highlighted the institute’s pioneering efforts in setting up Atal Tinkering Labs (ATLs) under the guidance and support of NITI Aayog.
The Atal Innovation Mission, driven by its goal to foster 1 million young innovators across India, continues to set up ATLs in schools across the country. These labs are expected to ignite curiosity, creativity and imagination in students as well as equip them with critical skills such as design thinking and computational problem-solving, according to the statement.
