NTA gives NEET UG 2026 candidates one more chance to confirm their bank account details before the refund process wraps up.
If you’re still waiting for your NEET UG 2026 fee refund, here’s some relief. NTA has reopened the bank account confirmation window yet again, this time pushing the deadline to July 14, 2026, till 11:50 PM.
Why This Window Reopened
Through a public notice dated July 7, 2026, NTA confirmed that around 10,28,223 candidates have already confirmed their bank accounts and refunds for these candidates are already underway. But a large chunk of candidates still haven’t completed this step, so NTA has decided to give everyone one more shot before closing the process for good.
The Backstory
The NEET UG 2026 exam, held on May 3, was cancelled following concerns over the exam’s integrity. NTA then committed to refunding the fee to every candidate who had registered and paid. To make this happen, the agency asked candidates to submit their bank details through the official portal, extending the window more than once as many entries came in incorrect or incomplete.

What You Need to Do
Log in to the NEET UG 2026 registration portal at neet.nta.nic.in using your credentials, then look for the “Bank Account Details Confirmation/Updation” link. You’ll need to clear a two-factor authentication step with an OTP sent to your registered mobile number before you can access the refund link. Once inside, confirm your existing bank details or update them if needed. You can also upload a cancelled cheque if you want extra verification.
Don’t Wait Till the Last Minute
Candidates who’ve already confirmed their details and received refunds don’t need to do anything further. But if you haven’t updated your bank account yet, don’t sit on this one – NTA hasn’t indicated any further extension beyond July 14.
