Candidates are advised not to wait until the closing date to deposit their fee, since the university has clarified that an extension may not be possible given the limited time available in this round.

    Document Verification Process

Once the fee is paid, GGSIPU will carry out online verification of the documents uploaded by candidates. A few important points to keep in mind:

    • Any discrepancy found during verification will be raised as a query in the candidate’s login, which must be answered within the given time.
    • If a query remains unresolved, the allotted seat may be cancelled, and the candidate will not be able to participate in subsequent rounds as per their originally claimed data.
    • Incorrect Category/Sub-Category/Region details, if not corrected in time, will be updated by the university based on available records, and this decision will be treated as final for the purpose of seat allocation.
    • Candidates who submit corrected documents before the next round can regain the benefit of their original category and region for future rounds.
    • Document eligibility will be verified a second time by the allotted college at the time of physical reporting. Failure to produce valid documents at this stage will also lead to seat cancellation.
    • Seats will be cancelled with immediate effect if caste or eligibility documents are found false or fake at any stage.

Freeze or Float: What Candidates Should Know

After Round 1 allotment, candidates must submit their willingness option in their login:

    • Freeze: Candidate is satisfied with the current seat and does not wish to be considered for upgradation in further rounds.
    • Float: Candidate wishes to be considered for a better seat in the next round. If a higher preference isn’t allotted, the current seat remains retained.

If a candidate upgrades to a new seat in Round 2, they will not have any claim over their previous Round 1 seat. Candidates who fail to submit their willingness by the deadline will automatically be marked as “Float” by the system, and no request for changing the willingness option will be entertained once submitted.

    Fee Payment and Withdrawal Rules

    • Fee payment must be made only through Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card.
    • Candidates who do not pay the part academic fee within the deadline will lose their claim to the allotted seat and will not be considered in subsequent rounds of counselling.
    • Fee-paid candidates wishing to withdraw their admission can do so through their login up to July 8, 2026, 11:59 PM.
    • Refunds, after applicable deductions, will be credited to the bank account details submitted at the time of registration. Requests for changing bank details, or for refund/withdrawal through post, email, or fax, will not be entertained.

    Important Instructions for Candidates

    • Candidates must check their results and updates only through their account login; no personal intimation will be sent by phone, post, or email.
    • The Provisional Seat Allotment Letter can be printed only within the specified window for that round and will not be available afterward.
    • Candidates are advised to check their login regularly for queries related to document verification, since no separate communication will be sent by the university.
