In a major update for medical aspirants across India, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to release the Official Provisional Answer Key for Re-NEET UG 2026 very soon, tentatively expected by June 25, 2026. The re-examination was successfully conducted on June 21, 2026 in pen-and-paper mode across 5,440 centres in 551 cities across India and 14 cities abroad.
Over 22.79 lakh candidates appeared for the re-examination, which was held amid tight security. The original NEET UG 2026 exam was scheduled for May 3, but was cancelled on May 12 following allegations of question paper leak. A CBI investigation into the matter is currently underway.
Once the official answer key is released, it will be available on neet.nta.nic.in. Students are advised to keep checking the portal regularly.
Why Was Re-NEET 2026 Conducted?

The government took strict steps to secure the sanctity of the re-examination, including banning the messaging app Telegram until June 21, and issuing strict guidelines for candidates regarding dress code, permissible items, and biometric verifications.
