The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the process for challenging the CUET UG 2026 Provisional Answer Key. Candidates who are not satisfied with any answer mentioned in the provisional key can submit objections through the official CUET website within the prescribed deadline.
The answer key challenge facility gives students an opportunity to ensure transparency in the evaluation process before the final answer key and results are announced.
How to Challenge the CUET UG 2026 Answer Key
Students can follow these simple steps to submit their objections:
Step 1: Visit the Official Website
Go to the official CUET website: https://cuet.nta.nic.in
Step 2: Click on the Answer Key Challenge Link
Select the option “Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key” available on the homepage.
Step 3: Login to Your Account
Enter your:
- Application Number
- Password
- Security Captcha
Then click on Submit.
Step 4: View Responses and Answer Key
Click on “View Question Paper” to check your recorded responses. To challenge any answer, click on “Click to view/Challenge Answer Key.”
Step 5: Select the Question to Challenge
The Question IDs may not appear in sequence. Students should carefully match the Question IDs from their question paper with those listed in the answer key.
Choose the option(s) that you believe are correct by selecting the relevant checkboxes.
Step 6: Upload Supporting Documents
Candidates can upload documents supporting their claim. All supporting evidence must be combined into a single PDF file before uploading.
Step 7: Review and Submit
After selecting the answers:
- Click “Submit and Review Claims”
- Verify all the challenges submitted
- Use “Modify your Claims” if changes are required
- Click “Final Submit” once satisfied.
Step 8: Pay the Challenge Fee
Candidates must pay a non-refundable fee of ₹200 per question challenged through:
- Debit Card
- Credit Card
- Net Banking
- UPI
The challenge will be considered only after successful payment.
Important Advice for Students
Before submitting objections, carefully verify your claim using authentic textbooks, official references, or expert guidance. Upload clear supporting documents to strengthen your challenge.
The final answer key will be prepared after experts review all valid objections submitted by candidates. Results will be declared based on the revised final answer key.
