NIFT 2026 Pre-Intimation List for UG & PG Counselling Released: Keep Documents Ready

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has released a pre-intimation document readiness list ahead of the NIFT 2026 counselling process for both UG and PG admissions. Candidates who have secured a valid Common Merit Rank (CMR) in the NIFTEE 2026 final result are advised to collate and verify all required documents before the counselling registration window opens.

    The NIFT 2026 final result was declared on June 3, 2026. Counselling registration is expected to begin in the last week of June 2026 on the official portal at nift.admissions.nic.in.

    Documents Required for NIFT 2026 UG (B.Des / B.FTech) Counselling

    Candidates appearing for UG counselling must keep the following self-attested documents ready:

    • Class 10 certificate (for date of birth proof)
    • Class 12 mark sheet and passing certificate (or Annexure-I undertaking if result not yet declared)
    • NIFTEE 2026 scorecard / Common Merit Rank (CMR) letter
    • Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwD), if applicable
    • Domicile/state certificate, if claiming state quota
    • Passport-size photographs (recent)
    • Valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar/Passport/Voter ID)
    • Artisan/Ward of Artisan certificate (only for candidates in that category)

    Documents Required for NIFT 2026 PG (M.Des / M.FTech / MFM) Counselling

    PG aspirants must additionally arrange:

    • Bachelor’s degree certificate and mark sheets (all semesters)
    • Migration/Transfer certificate
    • Category and income certificate (if applicable)

    Important Note: All documents must be in Hindi or English. If any document is in another language, a certified translation duly attested by a gazetted officer or the issuing institution must be submitted.

    How to Register for NIFT 2026 Counselling

    1. Visit the official counselling portal: nift.admissions.nic.in
    2. Log in using your application number and password
    3. Pay the non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 9,300
    4. Fill in and lock the choices of academic programme and campus (in order of preference)
    5. Upload all required documents in the prescribed size and format
    6. If a seat is allotted, pay the seat acceptance fee of ~Rs. 1,83,200 within the deadline

    Note: Failure to pay the seat acceptance fee within the stipulated time will result in automatic cancellation of the allotted seat.

    Special Categories

    • Candidates appearing in their Class 12 board exam in 2026 may participate provisionally; admission will be confirmed only after meeting eligibility criteria at document verification.
    • Candidates applying under the Artisan or Ward of Artisan category will undergo a separate counselling process and must not register on the general online counselling portal.
