The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has officially released the complete e-Counselling and Seat Allocation schedule for UG and PG programme admissions for the academic year 2026. The NIFT 2026 e-Counselling will be conducted in four phases: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and a Spot Round ending with physical reporting at the allotted campus on 29th July 2026.
Candidates who have successfully cleared the NIFT 2026 selection process and hold a valid Common Merit Rank (CMR) must register immediately on the official portal https://nift.admissions.nic.in as the Round 1 registration closes on 22nd June 2026.
NIFT 2026 e-Counselling Schedule
NIFT Round 1 2026 e-Counselling
Round 1 is the most important phase of the NIFT 2026 counselling process. Candidates must register, upload documents, fill course and campus preferences, and pay the admission fee within the Round 1 deadlines.

NIFT Round 2 2026 e-Counselling
Candidates who were not allotted a preferred seat in Round 1 or wish to make corrections in their application, can participate in Round 2. A withdrawal option is also available in this round.

The Spot Round is open to fresh candidates as well as those who could not secure a seat in the previous three rounds. Candidates must note that the Spot Round participation fee of Rs. 5,000 is non-refundable.

How to Register for NIFT 2026 e-Counselling?
- Visit the official NIFT e-Counselling portal: https://nift.admissions.nic.in
- Log in using your NIFT 2026 credentials
- Complete registration and upload all required documents in PDF format (100 KB – 500 KB per file)
- Fill and lock your course and campus preferences before the deadline
- After seat allotment, submit your willingness and pay the admission fee within the given window
- Report physically at the allotted NIFT campus by 29th July 2026
Documents Required for NIFT 2026 e-Counselling
Candidates must keep the following documents ready in self-attested PDF format before starting the process:
- Class 10 Mark Sheet and Certificate
- Class 12 Mark Sheet and Certificate
- NIFT Admit Card 2026
- NIFT Score Card / CMR Letter
- Category Certificate (if applicable — SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD)
- Identity Proof (Aadhaar Card / Passport / Voter ID)
- Passport Size Photographs
- Any other documents as specified in the NIFT Seat Allocation Guidelines 2026
All documents must be in PDF format with each file size between 100 KB to 500 KB. Illegible or oversized documents may lead to disqualification from the process.
Important Points for NIFT 2026 e-Counselling
- Artisan / Ward of Artisan category candidates must NOT register through the online portal. Their seat allocation is being handled separately by NIFT.
- Candidates can withdraw their seat in Round 2 and Round 3 if they wish to exit the process.
- The Spot Round participation fee of Rs. 5,000 is strictly non-refundable.
- All admitted students must physically report at their allotted NIFT campus by 29th July 2026.
- Candidates should regularly check the official NIFT website and e-Counselling portal for any updates or changes in the schedule.
