The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially opened the Class 12 post-result rechecking and revaluation portal for 2026 board exam students. Students who are not satisfied with their marks can now apply online for verification and re-evaluation of their answer sheets.
This year, CBSE has introduced Aadhaar verification for the first time to make the process safer and more transparent. Students can use their own Aadhaar number for login and verification. If a student does not have an Aadhaar card, they can use the Aadhaar details of a parent or guardian instead.
The portal became active on June 2, 2026, after a short delay due to technical issues. Earlier, many students had reported problems with scanned answer sheets, payment failures, and difficulties accessing the system. CBSE said the delay was necessary to improve the portal and avoid further technical glitches.
Who Can Apply?
Only those students who had already requested scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets are eligible to apply for re-evaluation and verification.
Students can:
- Request verification of marks or answer book issues
- Apply for re-evaluation of specific questions
How to Apply?
Students can follow these simple steps to apply for verification and re-evaluation:
- Visit the official CBSE website.
- Open the “Post Result Activities” section.
- Login using your Aadhaar details and required credentials.
- Select the option for:
- Verification of marks/answer book, or
- Re-evaluation of questions
- Choose the subjects and questions carefully.
- Pay the application fee online.
- Submit the form and download the confirmation page for future reference.
Students should complete the process before June 6, 2026, midnight.
Important Dates
The application window will remain open from June 2 to June 6, 2026, till midnight. Students are advised not to wait until the last moment because the website may become slow due to heavy traffic.
Application Fees
CBSE has fixed the following fees for the process:
- ₹100 per answer book for verification
- ₹25 per question for re-evaluation
The fees must be paid online while submitting the application form.
Technical Problems Reported Again
Soon after the portal opened, some students again complained about login errors and frozen screens because many students tried accessing the website at the same time. CBSE has assured students that the portal is being monitored and technical teams are working to resolve issues quickly.
Important Instructions for Students
- Students can submit only one application for verification and re-evaluation.
- Changes cannot be made after the form is submitted.
- Carefully check all details before making payment.
Students can complete the process through the official CBSE website.
The re-evaluation process is important for students who feel there may have been an error in marking. However, students should apply carefully and only if they genuinely believe their marks need review.
