Uttar Pradesh NEET UG 2025: New Rules Announced for MBBS/BDS Admissions

    Revised Policies:

    1. State Quota for Seats:

        • Government medical and dental colleges will fill 85% of their seats under the State Quota.
        • All seats in private and minority colleges will be filled through UP State counselling based on NEET UG 2025 ranks.

        2. Online Registration & Technical Help:

        • The National Informatics Centre (NIC), Lucknow will handle the technical work for the counselling.
        • NIC will help with:
          • Student registration through the website
          • Uploading photos and documents
          • Taking registration and security fee payments

        3. Creating the Merit List:

        • The DGME (Director General of Medical Education), or someone chosen by them, will prepare the State Merit List with help from NIC.

        4. Counselling Guide & Committee:

        • A full information brochure will be made by a committee formed by DGME.
        • This team will have members from:
          • King George’s Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow
          • Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow
          • Government officials
          • DGME staff

        5. Counselling Mode & Security Fee:

        • Mode: Counselling will be done online only
        • Who Can Apply: Students who passed NEET UG 2025
        • Security Deposit:
          • ₹30,000 for Government Colleges
          • ₹2,00,000 for Private MBBS Colleges
          • ₹1,00,000 for Private BDS Colleges
