Shiv Nadar University launches PG Certificate Course In Life Sciences; 20 Seats Available

Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR, launched a one-year post-baccalaureate/postgraduate certificate program with maximum of in Life Sciences Research.

NEW DELHI: On National Science Day, Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR, launched a one-year post-baccalaureate/postgraduate certificate program in Life Sciences Research. The university will admit a maximum of 20 students in the first batch. Candidates can start applying from mid-March 2025.

    A team of 20 faculty members will lead the program, offering mentorship and interdisciplinary guidance across different life sciences fields.

    Eligibility criteria

    • Graduates with BSc, BTech, or equivalent degrees
    • A minimum of 60% or CGPA 6/10
    • Interested in pursuing a career in Sciences with a focus on Research.

    The university will award merit-based scholarships of ₹1 lakh each to the top four selected students to encourage academic excellence.

    The research will focus on seven key areas, including Age & Metabolism, Disease Pathogenesis & Therapeutics, Plant and Agricultural Biotechnology & Sustainability, Neuroscience, and Brain & Cognition, as stated in the press release.

    Professor Ananya Mukherjee, Vice-Chancellor of Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR, said that the program aims to boost research in life sciences and contribute to global scientific progress. She emphasized that by allowing students to work on real-world challenges in a lab setting, the program will help them build successful careers in academia, industry, and other fields.
