Patna, Bihar: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi has opened applications for 1,794 nursing officer positions under the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET)-8 for 2025. The registration process for AIIMS NORCET-8 has commenced and will remain open until March 17.
AIIMS Patna will recruit the highest number of nursing officers, filling 308 positions. It is also the only institute with 29 vacancies in the Persons with Benchmark Disability (PWBD) category, allocating 24 seats for female candidates and five for male candidates. Additionally, the Central Armed Police Forces Institute of Medical Sciences (CAPFIMS) in Maidangarhi will hire 300 nursing officers, while AIIMS New Delhi will recruit 202 professionals.
Eligible candidates must hold a BSc (Hons) Nursing, BSc Nursing, or Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery from an institute recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) or any state nursing council, or possess a BSc post-certificate/post-basic BSc Nursing qualification. Candidates must also be registered as nurses and midwives with either the INC or a state nursing council to qualify for the recruitment process.
A total of 23 institutes will use the NORCET-8 score to appoint nursing officers. As per the announced schedule, the computer-based test (CBT) for the preliminary stage of NORCET-8 will take place on April 12, while the CBT for the main exam will be conducted on May 2 for qualified candidates.
AIIMS NORCET-8 Vacancies
AIIMS and other participating institutes will recruit nursing officers for “Level 07 in the Pay Matrix, pre-revised Pay Band-2 of Rs 9,300 – Rs 34,800 with a Grade Pay of Rs 4,600, Group-B.” AIIMS has assured that the seat matrix for AIIMS Bhopal and AIIMS Raipur will be updated soon.
