The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the final seat matrix for NEET MDS 2025 counselling. A total of 1,574 seats are available for postgraduate dental courses across India. Candidates can now register for counselling through the official website, mcc.nic.in, as the link is live.
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) announced the NEET MDS 2025 results on May 15. This year, 30,435 candidates registered for the exam.
MCC has slightly lowered the NEET MDS 2025 cut-off for all categories. Candidates will be eligible if they meet the following minimum qualifying marks:
- General and EWS: 261 marks (50th percentile)
- General-PwD: 244 marks (45th percentile)
- SC, ST, and OBC-NCL: 227 marks (40th percentile)
NEET MDS 2025 Counselling Process
Round 1 registration is open until June 30. Candidates must select their preferred courses and colleges and pay the application fee before the deadline.
MCC will conduct counselling in four rounds:
- Round 1
- Round 2
- Round 3
- Stray vacancy round
The counselling covers the following seat types:
- 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government dental colleges (excluding states like Jammu and Kashmir unless they opt in).
- 100% seats in deemed universities.
- 50% AIQ seats in central universities (DU-MAIDS, AMU, BHU), and the remaining 50% are filled through institutional counselling.
- Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) institutions.
- The remaining 50% of state quota seats in government and private colleges will be filled by respective state counselling authorities.
