The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has revised the final admission deadline for technical education courses for the 2026-27 academic session. Candidates participating in the MHT CET CAP and institute-level admission process can now complete their admission formalities until September 14, 2026.
The revised deadline has been announced in accordance with directions from the Supreme Court and the revised academic schedule issued by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). September 14 will be treated as the final cut-off for applicable undergraduate and postgraduate technical education admissions in Maharashtra.

The revised deadline covers both the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) and applicable institute-level admission rounds conducted for vacant seats after CAP.
What Candidates Need to Do
Candidates who are still completing their admission must ensure that all required steps are finished before the deadline. These include document verification, payment of the applicable admission fee, reporting to the allotted or participating institute, and completion of system reporting on the admission portal.
Simply receiving a seat allotment will not be considered sufficient if the remaining admission formalities are incomplete.
Why Was the Deadline Revised?
According to reports, the revised schedule follows the Supreme Court order dated August 12, 2026, along with the revised academic schedule issued by AICTE on August 13, 2026. The Maharashtra CET Cell has subsequently issued a notice regarding the final cut-off date for technical education admissions.
