The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released Mock Seat Allotment Round 1 today at 2:00 PM on its official portal josaa.nic.in. Candidates who completed registration and saved their choices by June 7, 8 PM can now check their mock allotment result under their respective logins at josaa.nic.in.
What is JoSAA Mock Allotment?
The JoSAA mock seat allotment is a trial allotment process that helps candidates understand which seat they may be allotted based on their current preferred choices and rank. It is not a final result. After the mock allotment is announced, each candidate gets the option to edit and lock their choices.

A total of 67,323 seats are at stake across 121 premier engineering institutions, including IISc Bengaluru, participating for the first time this year. 4,470 new seats have been added compared to last year’s 62,853.
How to Check JoSAA 2026 Mock Seat Allotment
- Visit the official JoSAA portal at josaa.nic.in
- Click on the Mock Seat Allotment link on the homepage
- Log in using your JEE Main application number and password
- Enter the security pin as required
- Your mock allotment result will be displayed on screen
- Note the allotted institute and programme
- If needed, revise your choice order before the June 11 deadline

- Rearrange, add or delete choices if not satisfied
- Check previous year cutoffs before finalising preferences
- Lock all choices before June 11, 2026 at 5:00 PM
