NEW DELHI: Aspirants can enrol in IIT online certificate courses in many fields like data science, machine learning, AI and cloud computing. These programs are offered by various IITs to identify industry-relevant skills and are open to a wide audience including working scholars, professionals, and graduates.
Admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology(IITs) typically requires clearing the Joint Entrance Examination(JEE). However, several short-term and certificate courses are available now without the need for JEE scores. Offered by various IITs, these programs focus on industry-relevant skills.
BSc in Data Science-IIT Madras
IIT Madras offers a BSc in Data Science without requiring JEE scores for students who want to do smart work in the future. Candidates need only Class 10-level math skills and must have completed Class 12. After enrolling on the course, candidates must pass a qualifier exam within the first month to continue the course, if the student fails the exams he’ll be disqualified.
The program is divided into three stages i.e. foundational, diploma and degree which helps students to exit at any stage with a certificate/ diploma, or degree based on their progress. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning(AIML) with Python-IIT Kanpur
A four-week online certification course in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning(AIML) and Python programming is offered by IIT Kanpur which began on December 1, 2024.

Certificate Program in Generative AI & Machine Learning-IIT Roorkee
In collaboration with iHub Divya Sampark, IIT Roorkee offers an 11-month certificate course in generative AI and machine learning. The fee for this course is Rs 1,34,999. The course features virtual classes, hands-on projects, and a two-day campus immersion. This course is designed for professionals and graduates in relevant fields. Also, it provides comprehensive training in AI technologies.
UI/UX Design Certification-IIT Delhi
IIT Delhi offers a six-month certificate program in UI/UX design which started on November 23. The fee for this course is Rs 1,50,000+GST. The program is open to graduates with at least one year of work experience. To earn a certificate, candidates must secure a minimum of 50% attendance and score at least 60%. Those who do not meet these criteria will receive a participation certificate, not a degree or full-time course certificate.
Certificate Program in Cloud Computing and DevOps-IIT Kanpur
IIT Kanpur offers an eight-month certificate course in Cloud Computing and DevOps in collaboration with E & ICT Academy, and the fee of this course is Rs 1,49,998 with no-cost EMI options. Candidates must have a graduate degree with at least 50% marks. The program includes over 30 hands-on projects, it also includes capstone projects across three domains and is also open to non-programming students.
