GGSIPU 2026 Counselling Schedule: BA B.Ed, M.Ed SE, ADCGC

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has notified counselling schedules for three programmes under the 2026-27 admission session. This includes the 1st counselling for BA B.Ed (Programme Code 161), the 1st counselling for M.Ed (Special Education) (ID) under CET Code 612 and the 2nd counselling for the Advanced Diploma in Child Guidance and Counselling (ADCGC) under CET Code 175. All counselling sessions will be held offline at the university’s Sector 16-C, Dwarka campus.

    BA B.Ed (Programme Code 161): 1st Counselling

    Candidates who qualified NCET-2026 and appear in the merit list must report in person for allotment of seats. Counselling will be conducted category-wise and rank-wise on a single day, starting with Jammu & Kashmir Migrant candidates and horizontal sub-categories (Defence, PWD), followed by SC/ST, DOBC, EWS and General category candidates from Rank 1 onwards.

    A candidate belonging to any sub-category also remains eligible for General/Unreserved category seats purely on NCET merit. Defence and PWD reservations apply horizontally across all categories and any vacant sub-category seats will revert to the parent category only during the 2nd counselling.

    M.Ed (Special Education) (ID), CET Code 612: 1st Counselling

    This programme is run through the affiliated institute, National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (NIEPID), Noida. Admissions are on an all-India basis purely on CET merit, without regional distribution between Delhi and Outside Delhi. All qualified candidates, irrespective of category, must report from Rank 1 onwards for document verification and seat allotment.

    Eligibility requires a B.Ed. Spl.Ed. degree with minimum 50% marks in the relevant disability area, or equivalent qualifications such as B.Ed. General with a Diploma in Special Education, PG Diploma in Special Education (ID), or a 4-year integrated B.A./B.Sc./B.Com B.Ed. Spl.Ed.

    ADCGC, CET Code 175: 2nd Counselling

    The 2nd counselling for ADCGC, offered through the National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development, will proceed category-wise, covering Jammu & Kashmir Migrants, Defence, PWD, SC, ST, EWS and General category candidates from Rank 1 onwards. Vacancies arising from withdrawals or category conversion will also be filled during this round.

    Eligibility includes a recognized Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Child Development, Community Resource Management, Development Communication Extension, Nursing, or Special Education; or an M.Ed.; or a Bachelor’s degree in the same fields with 5 years of relevant experience; or a B.Ed. with 4 years of experience working with children.

    Fee and Documents Required

    • BA B.Ed: Bank Draft of Rs. 96,000/- in favour of Registrar, GGSIPU, payable at Delhi.
    • M.Ed Special Education & ADCGC: Bank Draft of Rs. 60,000/- (Part Academic Fee) in favour of Registrar, GGSIPU, payable at Delhi.

    Common documents required at counselling include:

    1. Four passport-sized photographs
    2. Rank Card/Merit Order (copy)
    3. Original Admit Card
    4. Filled Admission Verification Form as per the relevant Appendix
    5. Filled Preference Sheet
    6. Proof of date of birth (original and photocopy)
    7. Original mark-sheets/certificates of qualifying examination
    8. Physical Fitness Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner
    9. Conduct and Character Certificate, not older than 6 months
    10. Reserved category certificate (where applicable), issued in the candidate’s own name

    Candidates claiming reserved category seats must carry valid certificates in their own name and OBC certificates are accepted only if issued by the Competent Authority of Delhi to original Delhi residents from before 1993. Certificates issued for central government appointments or by other state governments will not be accepted.

    How to Attend GGSIPU Counselling

    1. Check your rank and category in the merit list published on the university website.
    2. Note your allotted date and time slot as per category.
    3. Prepare the Bank Draft in the specified amount, in favour of the Registrar, GGSIPU.
    4. Collect and self-attest photocopies of all required documents.
    5. Report in person at the Sector 16-C, Dwarka campus at the specified time.
    6. Complete document verification and seat allotment on the same day.
    7. Pay balance fee (if applicable) directly at the allotted institute.
