CAT 2026 Registration Deadline Extended to September 22; Apply at iimcat.ac.in

The CAT 2026 registration deadline has been extended to September 22, 2026. Candidates who have not yet registered for the Common Admission Test (CAT) can complete their applications through the official website, iimcat.ac.in, until 5 PM on September 22.

The registration deadline was earlier September 15, 2026. The extension gives MBA aspirants additional time to complete and submit their CAT 2026 application forms. IIM Indore is conducting CAT 2026, which is scheduled to be held on November 29, 2026, in three sessions.

How to Apply for CAT 2026?

Candidates can follow these steps to complete CAT 2026 registration:

1. Visit the official CAT website at iimcat.ac.in.
2. Click on the CAT 2026 registration option.
3. Complete the new candidate registration using the required details.
4. Log in and fill out the CAT 2026 application form.
5. Enter personal and academic information carefully.
6. Upload the required photograph, signature and other applicable documents.
7. Select the preferred CAT test cities.
8. Pay the application fee and submit the form.
9. Download the confirmation page for future reference.

CAT 2026 Application Fee

The CAT 2026 registration fee is ₹2,700 for General and other applicable category candidates and ₹1,350 for SC, ST and PwBD candidates. The registration fee is non-refundable.

CAT 2026 Exam Date

CAT 2026 will be conducted on November 29, 2026, in three sessions. The computer-based examination will be held across approximately 170 test cities in India.

The examination will assess candidates across three major sections: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA).

CAT 2026 Application Correction Window

After registration closes, eligible candidates who have successfully submitted their applications and paid the fee will receive a limited correction facility. Candidates will be able to make changes to selected fields such as their photograph, signature and test-city preferences.
