The National Testing Agency conducted the SWAYAM January 2026 Semester Examination across 201 centres in 149 cities in 10 sessions. The exam covered 898 courses in total, with the medium of the paper in English except for the Language papers. NTA has now declared results for 829 courses held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.

    About SWAYAM

    SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds) is a free online education platform under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Courses on SWAYAM are offered by various National Coordinators including AICTE, CEC (Consortium for Educational Communication), IIM Bangalore, INI (Indian National Institutions), IGNOU, NITTTR, and UGC, covering subjects ranging from engineering and management to humanities, languages, and vocational skills.

    National Coordinators Involved

    The 829 CBT-mode courses for which results have been declared span across the following National Coordinators:

    • AICTE – Courses like Yoga for Stress Management, Design Thinking and Innovation
    • CEC – A wide range of courses in commerce, science, humanities, and languages
    • IIM Bangalore (IIMB) – Management-focused courses including Corporate Strategy, Digital Marketing, and Generative AI for Business
    • INI – Courses from institutes such as BHU and AMU, covering subjects like Ayurveda, Unani Medicine, and Indian Knowledge Systems
    • IGNOU – A large set of undergraduate and certificate courses across disciplines
    • NITTTR – Technical and engineering education courses
    • UGC – Courses including Buddhist Studies and Arctic Studies

    Results for Hybrid Mode Courses

    Results for the remaining courses conducted in Hybrid mode (CBT + Paper Pen mode) are under process and will be declared separately through a public notice in due course. Candidates enrolled in these courses are advised to keep checking the official website for updates.

    How to Check NTA SWAYAM Result 2026

    1. Visit the official website, exams.nta.nic.in/swayam/
    2. Click on the result/scorecard link for the January 2026-Semester Examination
    3. Log in using your Application Number
    4. View your result and score card on the screen
    5. Download and print the score card for future reference

    Role of NTA and Issuance of Certificates

    The responsibility of NTA is limited to inviting online applications, conducting the test, declaring scores, and providing results to the Ministry of Education for further action. The final score card and certificates will be issued separately by the concerned National Coordinators, not by NTA.

    Exam Conduct Details

    The SWAYAM January 2026-Semester Examination was held over four days – 17, 18, 19, and 21 June 2026 – in 10 sessions to accommodate the large number of courses and candidates.
