Candidates allotted seats in Round 1 of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) counselling for the 2026-27 academic session have only till tomorrow, July 2, 2026, to complete their part academic fee payment. Missing this deadline will result in the seat being forfeited, with no scope for participation in further counselling rounds.
Fee Payment: Last Date is July 2
As per the schedule issued by GGSIPU following the declaration of Round 1 results on June 30, 2026, allotted candidates must pay their part academic fee online through Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card by 11:00 PM on July 2, 2026.
- ₹96,000 for most programmes covered under this round
- ₹60,000 for candidates allotted seats in the B.Ed. programme
The university has specifically cautioned candidates against waiting until the last moment, noting that due to the limited time window, no extension may be granted if the deadline is missed.
Why This Deadline Matters
Fee payment is not just a formality it is mandatory for candidates to remain eligible for subsequent rounds of online counselling. Candidates who fail to pay within the stipulated time will:
- Lose their claim to the currently allotted seat
- Not be considered for any further round of counselling, even if they wish to participate later
What Happens After Fee Payment: Submitting Willingness
Alongside the fee payment, candidates must also submit their willingness option by the same deadline July 2, 2026, 11:59 PM. This involves choosing between:
- Freeze: For candidates satisfied with their current allotment who do not want to be considered for upgradation.
- Float: For candidates who wish to be considered for a better seat in the next round. If no higher preference is allotted, their current seat stays reserved.
If a candidate does not submit a willingness choice, the system will automatically mark them as “Float” by default.
The Process Doesn’t End at Fee Payment
Once the fee is paid, candidates should keep track of two further steps in the schedule:
| Activity | Timeline |
| Document verification | Begins after fee payment |
| Printing of Provisional Seat Allotment Letter | July 7, 2026, till 11:00 PM |
| Withdrawal of admission (for fee-paid candidates) | Till July 8, 2026, 11:59 PM |
After fee payment, the university will carry out online verification of the documents uploaded by candidates. Any discrepancies found during this process will be flagged as queries in the candidate’s login, which must be answered within the given time failure to do so can also lead to cancellation of the allotted seat.
Only after successful document verification will candidates be able to print their Provisional Seat Allotment Letter, available for download between July 7 and the specified deadline for that round only.
Key Reminder for Candidates
GGSIPU has reiterated that results and updates must be checked directly through the candidate’s account login. No individual intimation will be sent by phone, email, or post, so candidates are advised to log in regularly to avoid missing any deadline or query.
