The Joint Entrance Examination Council Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) has released the Round 1 seat allotment result for counselling 2026 today, July 1, 2026. Candidates who had filled their choices in the first round can now log in to the official portal at jeecup.admissions.nic.in to check their allotted institute and course.
With the seat allotment now declared, the next set of deadlines kick in almost immediately, and candidates need to act fast.
What Happens Next: Round 1 Action Dates
Once a seat has been allotted, candidates must complete two important steps within the given window:
Freeze or Float selection and fee payment must be done between July 2 and July 5, 2026. Candidates who have been allotted a seat must log in to their portal and select either the Freeze option (if they wish to confirm and retain the allotted seat) or the Float option (if they wish to be considered for a better seat in subsequent rounds). Along with this selection, candidates must deposit the Security Fee and Counselling Fee online through their login.
Document Verification will be conducted at district Help Centres across Uttar Pradesh from July 2 to July 6, 2026, till 6:00 PM. This step is mandatory only for candidates who select the Freeze option. Candidates must visit any Help Centre in the state to complete document verification within this window.

Important Points Candidates Must Note
Candidates who select the Float option but do not deposit the Security and Counselling fee within the stipulated window will not be eligible for Round 2 and Round 3 counselling.
Similarly, candidates who select the Freeze option but fail to complete document verification within the given dates will also become ineligible for subsequent rounds.
The total fee to be deposited online consists of Rs 3,000 as Seat Acceptance Fee and Rs 250 as Counselling Fee, totalling Rs 3,250, payable through the candidate’s login on the portal.
Document verification will not be conducted at Help Centres on Sundays.
Candidates must ensure they carry their Provisional Admission Letter along with all original documents including mark sheets, category and sub-category certificates, income certificate, residence proof, EWS certificate, and health certificate when visiting the Help Centre.
