IIT Gandhinagar Early MTech Admissions 2025-26 Open: No GATE Required

IIT Gandhinagar Early Admit MTech Program registration will begin in July 2025, outlining the schedule, eligibility criteria and academic requirements.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar has opened registration for the Early Admit MTech program for the 2025-26 academic year. Candidates do not need GATE 2025 scores to apply. They can access the registration form on the official website iitgn.ac.in.

    IIT Gandhinagar offers a fellowship of ₹15,400 per month to candidates with a valid GATE score. Those without a valid score receive ₹6,000 per month. Additionally, some selected candidates get ₹60,000 in travel support to attend international conferences. According to the official brochure, students can complete their eight-semester BTech at IIT Gandhinagar before joining the MTech program as visiting students.

    Eligibility Criteria

    • Final-year BTech students from NITs must achieve a minimum CGPA of 8.0 (GEN, EWS, OBC) or 7.5 (SC, ST, PwD) in their third year.
    • Final-year BTech students from selected colleges, including NITs, must rank among the top 5 (GEN, EWS, OBC) or top 10 (SC, ST, PwD) in their department by their third year.
    • Final-year BTech students from IITs must maintain a minimum CGPA of 6.0 in their third year.

    IIT Gandhinagar Early Admit MTECH Programme Requirement

    • Complete 32 to 48 credits of coursework and 32 to 48 credits for their thesis.
    • Finish a 2-credit PG orientation program before starting the semester.
    • Enroll in a mandatory 4-credit writing course.
    • Earn at least 4 credits from Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS).
    • Choose at least 8 elective credits inside or outside their field after consulting a faculty advisor.
    • Study at least 16 credits in their chosen specialization.
    • Enroll in two Physical Education (PE) courses (one per semester) and pass them.
