FMGE October 2026 Registration Begins Today; Apply Till September 25

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has begun online registration for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) October 2026 session. Eligible candidates can apply through the official website, natboard.edu.in, using the direct registration link on the homepage.

This is an additional sitting NBEMS has added to the FMGE calendar for 2026, taking the exam from two sessions a year to three. The board cited a backlog of pending foreign medical graduates as the reason for introducing the extra window.

Key Dates

• Information Bulletin release: 5 PM onwards, today
• Online application begins: 5 PM onwards, today
• Last date to submit application: till 11:55 PM
• FMGE October 2026 exam date: October 31
• Result declaration: by November 30

Exam Fee

Candidates need to pay an application fee of ₹5,250, plus 18% GST of ₹945, taking the total payable amount to ₹6,195. The fee can be submitted through UPI, or a credit or debit card issued by an Indian bank, via the payment gateway on the application portal.

How to Apply for FMGE October 2026

1. Visit the official NBEMS website, natboard.edu.in.
2. Locate and click the FMGE October 2026 registration link on the homepage.
3. Register using a valid email ID and mobile number to generate login credentials.
4. Log in and fill in personal, academic and qualification details carefully.
5. Upload the required photograph, signature and supporting documents as per the specifications in the Information Bulletin.
6. Pay the examination fee through the available payment modes.
7. Submit the form and save the confirmation page or application number for future reference.

NBEMS has clarified that a candidate can submit only one application form. If more than one form is submitted, the admit card will be issued against the application with the higher Application Number, and the other application(s) may be cancelled with forfeiture of fees.

Exam Pattern

FMGE October 2026 will be a computer-based test conducted only in English, comprising 300 multiple-choice questions with four options each. Candidates can mark questions for review before final submission. Detailed eligibility criteria, the exam scheme and the list of test cities will be available in the Information Bulletin.

Candidates are advised not to wait until the last date to avoid technical or payment-related issues while applying.
