| Sociology | September 10, 2026 | Shift 1 | 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon |
The schedule was announced after NTA decided to re-conduct these three papers following complaints regarding errors in the original examinations.
Why Is NTA Conducting the UGC NET Re-Exam?
NTA had received complaints regarding multiple issues in the English, Commerce and Sociology question papers of UGC NET June 2026.
A committee constituted to examine the matter found problems including factual, typographical and translation errors, incorrect wording and repetition of questions. Based on the committee’s recommendations, NTA decided that the three papers should be conducted again to ensure a fair examination.
No additional examination fee is being charged from candidates appearing in the re-examination.
