The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the results for NEET UG 2025. Out of 22.09 lakh candidates who appeared for the exam, 12.36 lakh students have qualified, reflecting a drop from 13.15 lakh qualifiers in 2024.
Uttar Pradesh once again topped the state-wise results, with 1.70 lakh students qualifying NEET UG 2025. It was followed by Maharashtra with 1.25 lakh and Rajasthan with 1.19 lakh successful candidates.
The NEET UG 2025 cut-off marks were lowered for all categories, especially for general category students. The general category cut-off range dropped from 720–162 in 2024 to 686–144 in 2025. This decline is likely due to the increased difficulty level of this year’s paper, as many students found the exam tougher than previous years.
